Pilipino Youth Coalition Retreat

Sarap, meaning "delicious" in Tagalog, was the theme for Pilipino Youth Coalition's annual retreat. After developing the logo, I created the welcome video that reflected the ideals of the weekend: for students to come together and create a welcoming community where everyone can be who they are.

Some design details include:
  • The colors from the logo and overall video are inspired by the Philippines flag: red, white, blue, and yellow.
  • During the "Now that's it raining ..." segment, letters are made from hundreds of p's, y's, and c's.
  • The song uses a mashup that includes Rihanna's "Umbrella." That weekend, it rained on the first day. Coincidence, or carefully planned?
